portrait photography is photography in its most intimate form. through the lens we attempt to capture a connection between the photographer and his subject, and then share that between photograph and viewer.

these are images of friends, family, street entertainers, fellow travellers and other strangers, sometimes candid, others directly engaged. they were taken over my first one-and-a-half years.
