  • Pride 2008 with good friends Aka and Oliv, part of Vancouver's vibrant gay community. The 30th annual Pride Parade "broke a lot of records with over 150 entries, more than 500,000 took in the festivities.

  • Early Saturday, September 27th, 2008 Jordan Smith was violently assaulted as he was walking along Davie Street holding hands with another man. The "Join Hands For Justice" rally demonstrated that the LGBT community is supported by people from across diverse cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds; a joyful celebration of community in solidarity against violence.

  • The Vancouver PWA Coalition organized the first AIDS Walk-a-thon in Canada in 1986, raising awareness and over $7,000 for PWAs. Over the years, BCPWA's (now Positive Living BC) signature fundraising event has generated more than 5 million dollars to subsidize direct services for HIV-positive British Columbians.
