    ta da!

Apache, bluehost, CSS, mySQL, PHP, SEO, site creation, website

Well, after much research and “Googe”ling, I have finally converted my web site to using PHP/XML and CSS2. My first version made extensive use of frames and this confused the major search engines (it also flies in the face of good SE optimization).

In order to achieve a two state experience (ie. the introductory video vignette followed by an image gallery), I had to learn PHP.  That meant downloading a WAMP server so I could do all my development on my home system. WAMP server has all you need to have your own Apache/PHP/mySQL server on a Windows XP system. It has allowed me to emulate all of the major functionality of my web host bluehost.

    my webhost

BTW … if you want a really cheap, high function, high performance web server give bluehost a try. Not only do thay have a great offering, you get unlimited bandwidth and unlimited storage. I have nothing but praise for them and their services.

I’m a bluehost affiliate. If you decide to use bluehost, click on their logo shown here, and I’ll get credit when you sign up!
