lynda.com has been the single most valuable online resource i have ever found. lynda weinman and her terrific online training library®  that has helped me every step of the way.  some of the more technical courses i have taken include

1. developing and building a website, with topics on PHP, CSS,  XML, Javascript and more
2. techniques to help internet users find my website including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and
3. using and customizing WordPress, the software that runs my blog.

but it doesn’t stop there. the online training library also has great material on creative topics, including

1. developing a logo and a brand, including selecting a font and colour scheme,
2. improving my use of photographic techniques like
   • flash-fill portraits,
   • natural light portraits and
   • back lit protraits.

so when just over a month ago, lynda.com sent me an email asking if i would like to be an early participant in their affiliate program, i applied right away. after doing a quality check and review of my website, i was accepted.
