my first seo goal

At last … I have achieved my first SEO goal!

My website, including all my images and blog are fully indexed by Google. It took about two weeks or so until Google dug down into my image gallery and indexed it, but all the gallerys that are linked from the main page are now listed.

I believe there are two components to this …

1. by rebuilding my website using PHP, I was able to create that desired two-state experience and prevent Google from thinking I was redirecting for my own gain.
2. by making judicial use of sitemaps for both the main site and my blog, Google eventually indexed all the URLs in my sitemaps.

That’s the first part.

Now to get better SERPs through keywords … the next goal and one that I think will be a bit harder as this is more of an art than the science of good web construction.
